Win Tickets to the
Friday the 13th Jersey Devil Hunt!

Tickets to a special FRIDAY THE 13TH of JUNE Jersey Devil Hunt will be up for auction on eBay starting Friday, May 23rd at 5:00 p.m.

The starting bid required is $20, and there will be only 20 tickets available from The Pinelands Preservation Alliance for this special program. The auction will close Sunday, June 1st at 5:00 p.m.

Once the auction goes live, search eBay for "Jersey Devil Hunt PPA", using the quotation marks.

The hunt is from 7 - 10:30 p.m., on June 13. The evening begins with a campfire (bring hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting!) and a little folk music. After a brief review of the history of the Jersey Devil, the hunt leader will take the group on a cautious examination of the local area. You will cover about 1.5 miles on foot. The exact location, deep in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey, will be disclosed only to ticket holders. Be prepared for a spooky evening, as you will be searching for one of the most infamous mythical creatures of all time, in an area where many eye-witnesses have encountered him. However, there is NO EVIDENCE that the Jersey Devil has ever harmed anyone, so there is NO PROSPECT OF PHYSICAL HARM to any of the hunters!

Friday the 13th should be a perfect opportunity to confront this bizarre creature, and the night is likely to hold other surprises as well. . .

Tickets will only be available through eBay. All proceeds from ticket sales help support the programs of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance.

The Pine Barrens is becoming a popular tourist destination. It offers history, nature, boating, camping, fishing, swimming, and most of all, peace and tranquility. It's important to families who live here, whether for a few years or many generations, that our peace and tranquility be preserved.A local lawyer or doctor won't look any different than his neighbor who works the land. Thousand dollar suits aren't what impress people of the Pines - taking care of nature and fellow man is what matters. To that end, it is important for you to know that as a visitor to our precious Pine Barrens, you should show respect for the flora and fauna, for the historical buildings or their remains, and show respect for the "locals". Walk and drive gently. Treat our Pine Barrens as you would want a visitor to treat your own home town - and your own family. Thank you.
